Gynecologic oncology is a branch of medicine that focuses on cancers of the female reproductive system, such as Ovarian, Uterine, Vaginal, Cervical, and Vulvar cancer. Gynecologic oncology is a subspecialty of oncology that deals with tumors of the female reproductive system. Gynecologic oncologists are doctors who have undergone a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology after medical school and then completed a specific fellowship in gynecologic oncology.
